Investigation on the quality of touristy city entrance based on the tourist's perception(A case of the city of babolsar)

Touristy city function performs in a real competition condition which is based on the relative environmental and physical advantages. This condition is influenced by the host and guest emotionality and physical changes in destination. Urban entrance as one of the main components of urban spatial structure has a deep effect one the quality of urban landscape specially in a touristy cities. It affects on tourist imagines about the whole of city and therefore on tourist experiences. In spite of urban entrance’s importance these areas have numerous and functional problems. The present of incompatible land uses, unsuitable physical spaces and visual disturbances are same of the urban entrance’s characteristics. This study aims to investigate on the quality of babolsar’s entrance based on the tourist’s perception in other word the research follows the tourist’s perception on the quality of the entrance as a touristy area. The methodology is descriptive and analytical based on the physical and landscape criteria by surveying the tourists. Questioner was used to survey the statistical society perception and T student parametric test was used to data analysis. The results show the tourist society has no clear and positive imagination about the city’s entrance. Therefore the entrance can’t improve the quality of city’s image.
