Journal of Advances in Medical Education & Professionalism, Volume:12 Issue: 3, Jul 2024, PP 180 -188IntroductionNowadays, Clinical courses are meticulously structured to give students essential opportunities to elevate their professional qualifications, so that the patients’ safety is protected and their conditions improve. Given the many challenges in the clinical environment of the operating room, this study was conducted to compare the impact of team-based and task-based learning methods in the clinical settings on the perceived competence of surgery and the quality of training from the operating room nursing students’ point of view∙MethodsThis quasi-experimental study was conducted on fifty 5th semester operating room technology students at Hamadan University of Medical Sciences in 2023. In this study, studentswere selected using the convenience sampling method and placed in two educational groups (team-based and task-based) of 25 subjects using the matching method. After implementing thetraining process in the operating room setting, the data related to the study were collected using the valid questionnaires of perceived competence in surgery (Cronbach’s alpha=0.86) andquality of education (Cronbach’s alpha=0.94). Also, the data analysis was conducted at the descriptive and inferential (included independent t-test and analysis of covariance) statistics level using SPSS version 16 software.ResultsFindings showed that the mean clinical training quality score was significantly higher in the team-based learning group than in the other group (P=0.014). Also, after the medianintervention, the perceived competence score of surgery was higher in the task-based learning group than in the team-based group, and the difference in the average change of the competence score between the two groups was statistically significant (P<0.001).ConclusionBased on the results, it is suggested that a task-based learning method should be used for the clinical instructors to increase level of the perceived competence of the surgery among operating roon nursing students.Keywords: Clinical Competence, Teaching Methods, Learning, Operating Room}

اختلالات اسکلتی عضلانی مشکلی شایع در اغلب محیط های کاری و توانایی انجام کار عاملی موثر بر عملکرد و بهره وری کارکنان است. در مطالعه ی حاضر، وضعیت این دو مولفه و ارتباط آن ها با هم در کارکنان شاغل در اتاق عمل بررسی شده است.
روش کارمطالعه ی مقطعی حاضر در زمستان سال 1401 انجام شد. در این پژوهش، تعداد 96 نفر از کارکنان شاغل در اتاق عمل بیمارستان های دولتی شهر همدان، به صورت سرشماری و با در نظر گرفتن معیارهای ورود بررسی شدند. داده ها از طریق پرسش نامه ی استاندارد نوردیک و پرسش نامه ی شاخص توانایی انجام کار جمع آوری شد و با استفاده از نرم افزار SPSS نسخه ی 24 در دو سطح آمار توصیفی (فراوانی، میانگین، انحراف معیار) و استنباطی (T-Test) تجزیه وتحلیل شد.
یافته هادر این مطالعه، 4 نفر (4/2 درصد) از شرکت کنندگان دارای یک ناراحتی اسکلتی عضلانی و 91 نفر از پرسنل (95/8 درصد) دارای بیش از یک ناراحتی در سیستم اسکلتی عضلانی بودند. میانگین شاخص توانایی انجام کار 04/91±42/3 بود. نتایج آزمون تی مستقل نشان داد که شاخص توانایی انجام کار در بین افراد دارای درد در اندام های گردن (0/003=P-value)، شانه ها (0/001=P-value)، آرنج ها (0/038=P-value)، کمر (0/011=P-value)، زانو ها (0/001=P-value) و پاها (0/002=P-value) نسبت به افراد فاقد درد در این اندام ها کمتر بود.
نتیجه گیریبا توجه به شیوع بالای اختلالات اسکلتی عضلانی و ارتباط معنادار بین این اختلالات و توانایی انجام کار، ضروری است مداخلاتی به منظورکاهش این اختلالات و به تبع آن، افزایش توانمندی کارکنان طراحی و اجرا شد.

In the present study, the status of these two components and their relationship with each other in the staff working in the operating room were investigated.
MethodsThe current cross-sectional study was conducted in the winter of 2023. In this research, 96 employees working in the operating rooms of government hospitals in Hamadan, Iran were enrolled by census sampling method based on the inclusion criteria. The data were collected through the Nordic standard questionnaire and the work ability index questionnaire. The collected data were analyzed in SPSS software (version 24) at two levels of descriptive (frequency, mean, and standard deviation) and inferential (t-test) statistics.
ResultsIn this study, 4 (4.2%) of the participants had one musculoskeletal disorder and the remaining 91 personnel (95.8%) had more than one disorder in their musculoskeletal systems. Average work ability index was 42.3±04.91. The results of the independent t-test showed that the work ability index among people with pain in the neck (P=0.003), shoulders (P=0.001), elbows (P=0.038), back (P=0.011), knees (P=0.001), and legs (P=0.002) were less than those without pain in these organs.
ConclusionResults indicated the need to pay more attention to the implementation of ergonomic work environment and management interventions to reduce the prevalence of musculoskeletal disorders and thereby increase the efficiency and effectiveness of personnel.
