The main subject of this paper is to examine the issues and factors affecting the formation of Iranian identity- a method of qualitative and descriptive. The emergence of new political units called "nation - state" leads to the formation of a new concept of collective identity as national identity. National identity is a social construction, social and political engineering of the product, but this is not the product of engineering current socio-political and cultural consequences of historical events before and after the arrival of Islam. Thus, theoretically, national identity and its roots can be studied on the base of Iranian history and after the arrival of Islam, Islamism and the spread of phenomenon of globalization .
