One hundred and fifty stellate sturgeon (Acipenser stellatus, 250 ± 3.24 g) were assembled into 15 round concrete tanks. The tanks were allocated to five treatments with three replications: fed with a diet containing 30% protein for eight weeks (T1); fed with a diet containing 30% protein level in weeks 1, 3, 5, and 7 and fed with a diet containing 35% protein level in weeks 2, 4, 6, and 8 (T2); fed with a diet containing 30% protein in weeks 1, 2, 5, and 6, and fed with a diet containing 35% protein in weeks 3, 4, 7, and 8 (T3); fed with a diet containing 30% in the diet in weeks 1, 2, 3, and 4, and fed with a diet containing of 35% protein in weeks 5, 6, 7, and 8 (T4); and fed with a diet containing 35% for eight weeks (T5). Remarkable effects were recorded in growth efficiency, and T2 and T5 had higher growth than other treatments. No marked difference was seen in the whole body composition. Different feeding strategies affected RBC, WBC, and MCV, and RBC and WBC of fish in the T4 were notably upper than in the other groups. Different feeding strategies had marked differences in lysozyme and ACH50 activity. These results demonstrated that T2 could use as a feeding strategy for stellate sturgeon.

The bio-sorption of ammonium ions using red marine macroalga Gracilaria persica were investigated by response surface methodology. The sorbent was characterized by SEM and FTIR analysis. The influence of various operating parameters such as ammonium concentration (mg L-1), initial solution pH and alga biomass dosage (g L-1) was optimized using Box–Behnken design. A second-order polynomial model successfully described the effects of independent variables on the ammonium ions removal. At the optimum conditions, the maximum removal efficiency was achieved at 100.01 %. The kinetic results also demonstrated that the bio-sorption of ammonium ions by the dried microalga followed well pseudo-second-order kinetics. FTIR results showed that amide, aliphatic and carbonyl groups might be responsible for the adsorption of ammonium ions in aqueous solution by dried G. persica biomass.

Our study was concentrated on the effect of garlic peel on haematological parameters, biochemistry and digestive enzymes on beluga juvenile (Huso huso) with mean body weight of 18. 41 ± 0. 89 g after the feeding trial for 90 days. Garlic peel powder added with 0%, %0.5, %1, %1.5 and %2 of feed to basic sturgeon diet (49% protein and 14% lipid). ultimately, haematological parameters, biochemistry, digestive enzyme activity were evaluated. Results showed that the hemoglobin (Hb) was remarkably greater in the treatment fed garlic peel diet in comparison with the control (p<0.05), while others blood indices did not significant differences (p>0.05) between juveniles fed control and garlic peel supplementation diets. The group fed 1.5% garlic peel showed highly significant different in total protein (p<0.05). However, Glucose, triglyceride, total lipid, cholesterol, ALP and ALT were significantly decrease in the juvenile fish fed by the 1.5% garlic peel diet compare to the control (p<0.05).The fish treated with 1.5% garlic peel exhibited significantly increase in amylase, protease and lipase compare to the control (p<0.05), but trypsin, chymotrypsin and pepsin were not affected (p>0.05). These results indicated that garlic peel powder in 1.5% level, improved blood indices and digestive enzymes activity of beluga sturgeon.
