Palliative care is a series of actions aiming to offer support to parents and their infants in order to improve their quality of life. Despite optimal outcomes, the provision of palliative care for infants and achieving these outcomes may be hardly feasible. The present study aimed to investigate the barriers to palliative care and gain insight into the solutions. Accordingly, the obstacles were identified and classified into three categories of parent-related barriers (parental request for continuing treatment, cultural background, and religious beliefs), barriers concerning healthcare providers (attitude toward palliative care, death, and life values, religious beliefs, knowledge and skills in palliative care, and ethical distress), and barriers within the healthcare system (unclear policies regarding the implementation of palliative care, inadequate support from caretakers, lack of educational programs, insufficient personnel, unprepared environment, lack of technological requirements, and lack of access to consultants). Each category was discussed, and relevant solutions were provided.

    Background
Recently, the "Disruptions in the Energy Field" have been omitted from the list of nursing diagnoses published by the North American Nursing Diagnosis Association (NANDA). Therapeutic touch is a scientific nursing intervention. The aim of this study was to identify the efficacy of therapeutic touch (TT) and investigate the tenability of omitting this diagnosis from the NANDA nursing diagnosis list.
    Materials And Methods
In this systematic review, we employed the English and Persian articles in complementary therapy(Therapeutic Touch) area published within January, 2006-December, 2016. The articles were obtained by searching such databases as the Proquest, PubMed, Science Direct, SID, Magiran, and Iran Medex. The searches were performed using the following keywords and their MeSH equivalents: “Therapeutic Touch", "Aura Therapy", and "Energy Healing". Finally, 13 articles were selected based on the inclusion criteria. The articles were evaluated based on a standard checklist presented by the Cochrane database. The articles were presented based on PRISMA format.
    Results
Out of the 3 review articles and 736 research articles, which were retrieved, 13 studies were examined in full-text with especial focus on the quality of methodology sections.
    Conclusion
Based on the reviewed articles, that observing no significant impact following TT interventions does not mean that this approach is actually ineffective. It may just be due to inappropriate methodology and research design employed for investigation. Therefore, we need to focus on the methodologies of these randomized control trials rather than their final results.

    Background
The lack of awareness about sexual activity after a myocardial infarction (MI), as well as consequent occasional sexual withdrawal and sex problems, are the key factors that intensify the stress, anxiety, and depression in patients with MI and their spouses.
    Objectives
This study aimed to investigate the effect of “sex education” on stress, anxiety, and depression in patients and their spouses after MI.
    Patients and
    Methods
This randomized clinical trial was conducted on 60 patients hospitalized with ischemic heart disease along with their spouses. The intervention included five sessions of face to face training and offering an educational pamphlet. The Dass-21 questionnaire was completed for both groups before and after the intervention. The collected data were analyzed using paired sample t-test, independent t-test, and Chi-square test.
    Results
After the intervention, the levels of stress and anxiety of the patients and their spouses were measured in both groups using independent t-test and a significant difference was observed (P = 0.001). The level of depression of the patients and their spouses was measured in both groups using independent t- test, yet no significant difference was found (P > 0.11).
    Conclusions
It is recommended to include sex education in training programs for heart patients in cardiac care units.

    Background and Objective
Myocardial infarction is one of the most common coronary artery diseases. One of the educational needs of patients، is how to perform sexual activities. Unfortunately، this issue is not being taught to patients، leading to problems in patients and their partners. This study was aimed to determine the effect of sex education on patients and their spouses› satisfaction after myocardial infarction.
    Method
This Quasi-experimental، non-randomized study was performed on 60 patients with myocardial infarction and their spouses in the city of Yazd whom were divided into two groups of experimental and control (60 in each group)، in the year 1392. The main method of this study was the education and preparation of nurses and then educating patients by trained nurses and to assess sexual satisfaction based on the standard Larson›s questionnaire. The data were then statistically analyzed using SPSS version 16 using paired، independent t-test.
    Results
The average sexual satisfaction of patients in the experimental group before the intervention was 81. 93 ± 12. 47 and after the intervention 82. 50 ± 12. 57 While in the control group before the intervention the average satisfaction was 83. 10 ± 17. 36 and after 6 weeks 75. 30 ± 15. 42. Also the mean sexual satisfaction of partners in the test group before and after the intervention was 81. 30 ± 12. 47 and 82. 07 ± 12. 28 respectively. In the control group before the intervention، the average score was 82. 50 ± 17. 21 and after intervention it was 74. 57 ± 15. 30. There was significant difference between patients and spouses› sexual satisfaction scores in the experimental and control groups before and after the intervention (P=0. 001).
    Conclusion
Sex education increased the sexual satisfaction among the tested group. Therefore، it is suggested to include programs in order to prepare nurses in terms of sex education of patients and their spouses in cardiac intensive wards.
