The Odyssey of Homer's epic is one of the world's poetic story which can be studied from different viewpoint. In literary criticism, the obscure and unknown aspects of epic will be clear by studying the psychological and alchemical of Odyssey. The Odyssey of Homer is description of Ulysses’ story who is Greek hero. He wants to return his home land from the Trojan War but on the way back he was involved in many adventures and faced many dangers and experiences. The Odyssey is traveling to unconsciously soul Ulysses and the discovery of contents and hidden and clear aspects of it. In this study, we want to study odyssey's mysterious travel and individuation process based on the analysis of Jung's psychological and alchemical. Individuation process happens when the center character the conscious self is transferred to the area between conscious and unconscious. Person tries to clear his unknown spiritual life and makes life balanced and sustainable. So Ulysses must pass a difficult path and in this mysterious journey he faced with his unconscious archetypes and he should be acquainted with them to achieve the ultimate goal and integrity. Since there are nearly relation between Jung's archetypes and Alchemy thinking, Ulysses character can be described as an Alchemy who change his parts of lowly existence into valuable things like gold that means the unity of opposites which is reaching entirety and self.

Gnosticism and true knowledge are not limited to any special nation or individual. Anyone who is created by God has the ability to understand these holy concepts. Thus all men of union, although they live far away from each other, have the same beloved and therefore the hidden meaning of their expressions is the same. In our literature, Molana's mystical poems cannot be challenged and his parables are saturated with mysticism and love. One of such mystical anecdotes is the story titled man and treasure selected from the sixth book of Masnavi Manavi. The traces of such understanding can be seen clearly in the Alchemist story by Paolo Queleo which has been and still is the most sold book in the world. This effect (on Queleo's work) makes any person praise Molana's great thought. The present research is going to show the differences and similarities between these two stories by comparing them. Also, it is going to show the effect of Molana's mind and discourse on this great American writer's thought.

The article provides the reader with a background to understand the symbolism involved in the science of alchemy, an occult science of the ancient times. The present study is based on library research mode whereby relevant data is gathered on definitions, derivations, ethymology, history of alchemy, important alchemists and their works. The findings have then, been classified and presented based on descriptive method.Taking into account the wealth of information on alchemy, from one side and lack of genuine sources from the other, makes the present study just an approach to symbols of alchemy. Other important discussions such as cosmology of alchemists, spiritual and natural alchemy, alchemist's symbolic language, relation between medicine and astronomy and finally corresponding natural alchemy symbols with Gnostic alchemy, require an appropriate opportunity and an independent article.
