The present study aims at reading Ian McEwan’s Atonement according to Pierre Bourdieu’s (1930-2002) theory of class distinction. The novel depicts the society as a field in which autonomous forces function. The characters can be considered as agents of society whose strategic interactions define their social aspects. In the other words, they are affected by the power in society which can be transferred through what Bourdieu calls ‘habitus’. According to him, habitus refers to an individual system through which the subject sees the surrounding society. What affects this system is mostly the social background of the subject during his life. Accordingly, different and distinct social classes with their own unique capital and taste are shaped. Atonement depicts how two opposite poles – symbolically reflected between Robbie’s and Cecilia’s intimacy – fail to attract each other in the social field by different habitus of distinct social classes. The study attempts to account for different forces that have affected characters’ habitus and distinct classes.

Traffic accidents, ruin the yearly national gross product of countries and the rate of it is different in under developed and developed countries. In this study had been attempted by using jurisdiction procedure, the accident expenses result in death in Iran and the rate of 2010-2011 national gross product expenditure to be calculated. Atonement average rate for 3 years is 554.7 ,430 and 903 million Rials. According to the announced national gross production rate by Islamic Republic of Iran,s central bank and the number of rural accident death for 30 month, the rate of national gross production was 2.33% and 2.26% for 2010-2011 and %82 for the first six month of 2012. The fatality rates of 2010-2011 in comparison to first month of 2011-2012, in spite of the reduction of general death, from 1.266 to 1.825 is increased. This show more national gross production expenditure than the previous years. Average value of potential production of a hazard victim for these 3 years is 656.229163,621.738061 and 546306548 rial and in the first six month of the years is equal to 1.327% and for 2010,2011 is 2.96 and 2.54.

این نوشته بر آن است که نشان دهد دیه، خون بها و ارزش زن یا مرد نیست تا بر اساس آن بتوان گفت اسلام به زن بهایی کافی و مساوی مرد نداده و او را تحقیر کرده است. شواهدی مانند آیات و روایات مربوط به شان انسان (اعم از زن و مرد)، تساوی دیه اعضا با دیه انسان، تساوی دیه زن و مرد تا یک سوم، برابری دیه جنین، طفل، جاهل، و فاسق با انسان کامل، و میزان دیه ماه های حرام نشان می دهد دیه، نه به منزله قیمت افراد، بلکه جریمه و جبران خسارتی مالی است، که با توجه به نقش برتر اقتصادی مردان در خانواده ها و جوامع مختلف، تفاوت در میزان آن، تنها یکی از حکمت های این حکم است؛ زیرا هر چند احکام الهی تابع مصالح و مفاسد واقعی است، اما انسان. محدود توان احاطه به همه دقایق احکام را ندارد.

Some evidence of verses of Quran and traditions about man worth (man and woman), equality of organ blood money with person blood money, and equality of woman blood money with man blood money till one third, equality of blood money of foetus and child and unlearned and debauchery with complete person, and rate of the blood money in taboo months, shows that blood money is not worth the price of person at all, but it is some kind punishment and restitution. Dominant economic role of man in families and societies is one of these philosophies of different decrees, not all of them.
