PurposeHousing has been one of the basic needs of the human beings, and the settlements have also been considered as the basic needs in terms of human communities. In order to satisfy such needs appropriately, traditionally human beings have intended to supply such needs as dealing with their surrounding environment. The current research intends to define the indices of housing sustainability in order to investigate the sustainability of environment for rural housing in Marivan County.Design/methodology/approachThe required data was collected using documentary methods and field studies together with questionnaires. First, the environmental variables of sustainable housing for rural areas were defined. Next, using hierarchical sampling method together with Cochran formula, 295 rural households were selected as the sample of the study. The tool for collecting the data was a questionnaire with an acceptable reliability endorsed using pre-test, data analysis, and the calculation of Cronbach's alpha coefficient. Finally, in order to analyze the data, fuzzy interference system (FIS) was used within the MATLAB software. For mixing the results obtained from measuring the elements of environmental sustainability, the gamma fuzzy was used together with FIS.FindingsThe results indicated that the environmental sustainability of rural housing in the current research included the values of 0.9, 0.7, and 0.5 for gamma fuzzy which respectively included 0.09, 0.22, and 0.52. This indicates that the environmental sustainability of rural housing is not desirable for the areas investigated in this study.Research limitations/implicationsThe most important problem with the current research was that the household heads in the rural areas could not be easily accessed for data collection.Practical implicationsWith respect to the results, it is recommended that the economic, cultural, and social conditions of the rural areas and the subsistence of their native residents should be in line with the climatic and geographical conditions of the areas.Originality/valueThe results of the current research can pave the way for studying the sustainability of the rural housing, especially in the area which has been studied.Keywords: Rural housing, Environmental sustainability, FIS, Gamma fuzzy, MarivanCounty

هدف این پژوهش سنجش درجه توسعه انسانی شهرستان پارس آباد (شامل چهار شهر پارس آباد، اصلاندوز، اسلام آباد و تازه کند) بر اساس پاره ای از شاخص های توسعه انسانی به منظور دستیابی به میزان و علل نابرابری های شهرستان همراه با ارائه راهکارهایی به منظور حل مشکلات توسعه انسانی، تسهیل امر برنامه ریزی و درنهایت افزایش ضریب توسعه انسانی این نقطه از استان می باشد. نوع تحقیق کاربردی – توسعه ای و روش تحقیق توصیفی- تحلیلی است که با استفاده از مدل سیستم استنتاج فازی (FIS) در محیط متلب صورت گرفته است. در این تحقیق درمجموع تقریبا از 40 شاخص تقلیل یافته به دو عامل توسعه اجتماعی (شامل اشتغال، خدمات اجتماعی و بهداشت) و توسعه فرهنگی (شامل آموزش، عوامل فرهنگی و انحرافات اجتماعی) برای مقطع زمانی 1390 استفاده شده است. تجزیه وتحلیل های مربوط به تمام مراحل پژوهش بخصوص تعریف شاخص ها، انتخاب توابع عضویت مربوطه، تشکیل پایگاه داده ها، قانون سازی و درنهایت خروجی گرفتن از داده ها در محیط متلب انجام شده است. پس از تجزیه وتحلیل داده ها به وسیله این مدل نتایج به دست آمده بیانگر این واقعیت است که مدل سیستم استنتاج فازی با تکیه بر پایگاه دانش و استنتاجات گام به گام مربوطه مدل مناسبی برای تشریح جزئیات مربوط به شاخص های اولیه و ثانویه و درنهایت برآورد توسعه انسانی می باشد. همچنین نشان می دهد که میان شهرهای این شهرستان به لحاظ برخورداری از شاخص های توسعه انسانی چه در داخل شهرستان و چه در رابطه با شهرهای دیگر استان تفاوت های اساسی وجود دارد و به غیراز شهر مرکزی پارس آباد که با وزن نهایی 0.507 در گروه نیمه برخوردار قرار دارد بقیه شهرهای این شهرستان جزء مناطق محروم تلقی می شوند.کلید واژگان: توسعه انسانی, سیستم استنتاج فازی, شهرستان پارس آباد, متلبApplication of Fuzzy Inference System in Measurement of Human Development / Case Study: Parsabad CityThis study aims to evaluate the human development in the city of Pars Abad (including Pars Abad, Aslan Dooz, Islam Abad and Taze kand) based on some human development indicators, to identify the rate and the causes of inequalities in this city, to introduce possible solutions for facilitating planning, and ultimately, to reduce human non-development rate in the region. It is an applied -developmental research using descriptive- analytical method. It also uses the Fuzzy Inference System (FIS) model in MATLAB. In this research, 40 reduced indicators are divided into two factors, social development (including employment, health, and social services), and cultural development (including education, cultural factors and social deviations) in a specified period, 2011. The analysis of all research stages, in particular, defining indices, selecting relevant membership functions, forming a database, establishing rules and ultimately getting output from the date was done in MATLAB. After analysis of the data by this model, the obtained results showed that FIS model, relying on knowledge base and its corresponding stepwise conclusions, is a good model for describing the details of the primary and secondary indicators as well as human development. Likewise, it showed that among the towns of this city, there are significant differences in terms of its human development indicators, whether in the city or in relation with other towns. Except the capital city of Pars Abad with a final weight of 0.507, which is located in the semi- deprived category, other towns of this city are considered in deprived areas.Keywords: human development, FIS, Pars Abad city, MATLAB

یکی از مهم ترین موضوع ها برای پیش بینی آب مورد نیاز یک منطقه در آینده، انتخاب مهم ترین شاخص ها و تعیین وزن آنهاست. در فرایند تصمیم گیری چندمعیاره (MCDM) در انتخاب مدل برای تصمیم گیری، نمی توان به همه شاخص هایی که احتمال دارد موثر باشند توجه کرد؛ زیرا این کار ممکن است از لحاظ زمان اجرا یا دقت برای موضوع تحقیق بهینه نباشد. از طرفی موضوع بررسی میزان آب مورد نیاز یک منطقه پیچیده و مهم است؛ لذا برای رسیدن به این مهم باید از بهترین مدل و شاخص ها استفاده کرد. هدف این پژوهش انتخاب مهم ترین شاخص ها با استفاده از شبیه سازی مونت کارلو و روش الکتری و سپس نحوه پراکندگی میزان آب مورد نیاز مناطق شهر کرمانشاه در سال 1400 با استفاده از سیستم استنباط فازی است. از روش الکتری برای انتخاب مهم ترین شاخص ها و از روش مونت کارلو برای تعیین وزن شاخص های انتخابی استفاده شده است. در این تحقیق 10 شاخص طبیعی و زیرساخت انسانی برای توسعه شهر کرمانشاه انتخاب شده و با استفاده از نظرسنجی 40 کارشناس خبره ارزش دهی شده اند. روش الکتری این شاخص ها را فیلتر کرده است و با استفاده از شبیه سازی مونت کارلو میزان عدم اطمینان نظرسنجی کاهش داده شده و وزن شاخص ها نسبت به هم رتبه بندی شده است. نتایج حاکی از آن است که پاسخ دو مدل سیستم استنباط فازی و مدل تلفیقی مونت کارلو- استنباط فازی با هم اختلاف زیادی دارند و استفاده از نتایج مدل مونت کارلو- استنباط فازی برای مدیریت منابع آبی ریسک کمتری دارد.

This issue threatens the social welfare, public health and ecosystem health. On one hand, limited freshwater resources and increasing demand for this vital resource signifies water issue. On the other hand, non-uniformity of spatial and temporal distribution has complicated the management of these problems (Makhdoom, 1999). Climate change is also one of the main reason for worsening the quality and quantity of water while lowering groundwater level (Lambrakis, 2006). Therefore, good management of water resources to predict water demand for the future in different districts is needed. Accordingly, Multi Criteria Decision Making Method (MCDM) is used (Mousseau & Slowinski, 1998). The aim of this study is to compare the results of estimation of the Fuzzy Inference System and Fuzzy Inference System- Monte Carlo models for predicting drinking water demand in different districts of Kermanshah for the year 1400. Factors such as population growth, per capita water usage and urban development have been considered in order to the manage water resources and accurate planning of the Kermanshah city. This is the novelty of this research. In other words, at first the relation between distribution amount of water consumption and population distribution and after that, the relation between population distribution and the physical development of the city of Kermanshah are studied. That is according to physical development of the city, distribution amount of water consumption is determined. Data andMethodsAt first the parameters related to the research were determined by using expert opinions and previous research. The Electre method was used to reduce indicator numbers. After that Monte Carlo simulation was used for obtaining weighted indexes. Finally, for estimation of distribution of population and water demand, FIS method was employed. Ten indices affecting the population and amount of water were chosen according to previous researches. These identified parameters included slope, distance from the river, elevation, distance from pipelines water, distance from roads (roads- Avenue), a distance of the center of town, population density, land use, distance from the river. Due to existence of numerous gathered parameters, some of them were filtered as inputs for FIS model. For doing this, Electre model was considered to select more efficient indices based on the 40 experts’ opinions. Each index was weighed according to Likert scale. The most effective layer was labeled with "very importance" and the least effective layer with "little importance". For determining the index weight, Monte Carlo simulation method was used. FIS model was also employed to determine density population of districts of the city. FIS model was employed in two states: First, state as combination model in which the consequences of employed Monte Carlo method for weighting of different layers were assessed. In the second state, only FIS method was employed, because of equality in regarding index weights. Conclusion andDiscussionElimination of slope aspect, distance from the river and elevation comes from Electre method. It was mentioned that the Monte Carlo method is based on Saati Judgment, assigning to the accuracy of calculation (A=0/01). The value of T and N were calculated: T=%5 and N=10000. The result from FIS model and FIS-Monte Carlo model were considered to determine the amount of water that is needed for districts 1 to 3. Both models determined district 3 as the district that needs the maximum amount of water while district 1 with the minimum amount of water.ConclusionThe evaluation of distribution of water demand for city is a very complicated issue that is influenced by a variety of parameters. These include the effect of population distribution such as natural factors, human infrastructure, policies in urban planning and urban development etc. Multi Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) method is commonly used to solve this problem. Because of high flexibility and power of their theory, fusion model are more efficient in counting complexity of problem (Shu, and Ouarda, 2008; Shahraki and Abbasian, 2014; Leyva and Fernandez, 2003; Asgharpour, 2012; Ghazanfari Rad, 2011; Rahmati et al., 2014; Sultan Panah and Farooq, 2000). So, these models are more efficient with respect to non-inclusive models. In this research two FIS and FIS-Monte Carlo methods were employed to estimate of population distribution and the amount of water demand with different results. According to the above explanation, the result of fusion model FIS-Monte Carlo is more reasonable. This reasonable result can be reported to the organizations that depend on water resources for future scheduling, management of water resources crisis.Keywords: drinking water, Electre, FIS, Kermanshah, Monte Carlo
