In this paper,a new family of eighth-order iterative methods for solving simple roots of nonlinear equations is developed.Each member of the proposed family requires four functional evaluations in each iteration that it is optimal according to the sense of Kung-Traub’s conjecture.They have four self-accelerating parameters that are calculated using the adaptive method.The R-order of convergence has increased from 8 to 16 (maximum improvement).Keywords: With-Memory Method, Accelerator Parameter, Weight Function, R-Order Of Convergence, Nonlinear Equations}

Iranian Journal of Numerical Analysis and Optimization, Volume:13 Issue: 2, Spring 2023, PP 157 -169In this manuscript, for approximation of solutions to equations that are nonlinear, a new class of two-point iterative structure that is based on a weight function involving two converging power series, is developed. For any method constructed from the developed class of methods, it requires three separate functions evaluation in a complete iteration cycle that is of order four convergence. Also, some well-known existing methods are typical members of the new class of methods. The numerical test on some concrete methods derived from the class of methods indicates that they are effective and competitive when employed in solving a nonlinear equation.Keywords: Newton method, Iterative method, Power series, weight function}

Journal of Mathematical Analysis and its Contemporary Applications, Volume:4 Issue: 3, Summer 2022, PP 35 -46This manuscript put forward one and two-parameter families of modified double Newton iterative structure with convergence order six, for approximation of the solution of nonlinear model. The modification technique involves the introduction of quotient of two converging bi-variate Power series based weight function to the second step of the double Newton's method. This manuscript presents a developed fourth-order iterative familyof methods for determining the zero of nonlinear equations that isoptimal in line with Kung-Traub conjecture. The family of methodswas constructed by using weight function technique. One iterationcycle of any concrete member of the family of methods requires theevaluation of three functions. Consequently, the efficiency index of anyconcrete member of the family is 1.5873. The method convergenceanalysis was carried out via the Taylor series technique and numericalexamples are provided to illustrate its performance as compared withits contemporary existing methods for obtaining the zero of nonlinearequation.Keywords: Nonlinear equation, Weight function, Optimal order of con- vergence}

In this paper, weight function and composition technique is utilized to speeds up the convergence order and increase the efficiency of an existing quadrature based iterative method. This results in the proposition of its improved form from a two-point quadrature based method of convergence order ρ = 3 with efficiency index EI = 1:3161 to a three-point method of convergence order ρ = 8 with EI = 1:5157 at the cost of one additional function evaluation. The method is used to approximate the solution of some nonlinear equations and the results generated are compared with that of some existing methods. Numerical results shows that method developed herein is very efficient in approximation of solution of nonlinear equations.Keywords: Nonlinear equation, Quadrature formula, Iterative method, weight function}

In this paper, we study Lp -conjecture on locally compact hypergroups and by some technical proofs we give some sufficient and necessary conditions for a weighted Lebesgue space Lp(K,w) to be a convolution Banach algebra, where 1<p<∞, K is a locally compact hypergroup and w is a weight function on K. Among the other things, we also show that if K is a locally compact hypergroup and p is greater than 2, K is compact if and only if m(K) is finite and f∗g exists for all f,g∈Lp(K), where m is a left Haar measure for K, and in particular, if K is discrete, K is finite if and only if the convolution of any two elements of Lp(K) exists.Keywords: Locally compact hypergroup, Weight function, Banach algebra, Lp-space}

By the method of weight coefficients, techniques of real analysis and Hermite-Hadamard's inequality, a half-discrete Hardy-Hilbert-type inequality related to the kernel of the hyperbolic cosecant function with the best possible constant factor expressed in terms of the extended Riemann-zeta function is proved.
