Thermal evaporation was used to create pure CdS thin films, which were then analyzed using XRD and UV-VIS spectroscopy. With changes in thickness, it was discovered that the particle size decreased from 23.6 nm to 21.7 nm. From the XRD data, the impact of thickness on strain and dislocation has been estimated. To determine how optical characteristics changed as thickness changed, transmission data were examined in the 200–1100 nm spectral range. Infections transmitted by sexual contact are known as sexually transmitted diseases (STDs). A significantly higher risk of STDs is associated with young Gen Y individuals than older adults. Multiple sexual partners and unprotected sex are more common among Gen Y. If STDs are not adequately treated, they can lead to a variety of complications. Media and government programs have created awareness of HIV/AIDS, but people in developing countries like India are less aware of STDs other than HIV/AIDS. The present paper is an initiative to decode the awareness level of banking and healthcare sector employees. In banking, lower and middle level as well as the case of the health care sector paramedics were considered as the data approachability. The respondents includes public and private sector banks. Here for the purpose of research, Gen Y refers to the workforce who entered from 2000 to present and approximate current age to mid 30s. The work value normally for these group are confident, financially success, and self-reliant, but team oriented, loyalty to both self and relationships. The entire analysis was carried out on six parameters such as awareness of STDs, source of information, the transmission of STDs, awareness of complications related to STDs, symptoms, and attitude towards STDs. In total, 42 variables were considered under six parameters. A convenient and cluster sampling method was used for the collection of data in the study areas. It was found that the awareness level of Gen Y in the banking sector was lower than that of paramedic in the healthcare sector. Especially the banking sector respondents were not aware of various sexually transmitted diseases and had very less knowledge of symptoms of sexually transmitted diseases in the study areas.Keywords: awareness, Complications, Transmission, Symptoms, Attitude

This study evaluated the light transmission characteristics of a single modular fiber with a cylindrical microchannel using the FDTD method. To this end, various microchannel diameters (4-11μm) were explored. The SMF included a silica core (n=1.4) coated by a nanodiamond layer with a refractive index of 2.42. The impact of Fabry-Perot resonance was evidently detected in transmission features. At constant , the light transmission variations depended on the refractive index of the microchannel. A significant change was observed in the upon altering the microchannel refractive index. Based on the results, a microchannel-based SMF with different diameters can be employed for refractive index sensing. In the cases where the diameter of the microchannel largely differs from that of the core (8μm), the transmission variations were negligible. The numerical results are in good agreement with those reported in the microhole or microchannel experiment. The highest and lowest transmissions were recorded for the microchannel at diameters of 4 and 11μm, respectively. Comparing related experimental and numerical results show proper control of the microchannel diameter can enhance light transmission through the core-microchannel. The sensitivity of the refractive index to the microchannel diameter is a promising feature that can be exploited for developing various fiber optical devices.Keywords: FDTD, Fiber Optics, Nanodiamond, Refractive index, Sensors, Transmission
