    Removing metal pollutants from water sources has become a critical environmental concern, demanding ongoing research and innovation in remediation technologies. Among the treatment methods, adsorption, using organic materials derived from agro-industrial wastes, stands out. The use of bioadsorbents derived from agro-industrial wastes, such as aloe vera, can be an effective and environmentally friendly solution for removing aluminum or other pollutants in irrigation water. This study aims to evaluate the aluminum removal capacity of a bioadsorbent developed from aloe vera processing wastes, using an adsorption column at a laboratory scale. For this purpose, tests were carried out with different doses of bioadsorbent and at different influent pH, using a two-factor, three-level factorial design. FT-IR, RAMAN and SEM analyses were performed to characterize the adsorption mechanism between aluminum and the bioadsorbent, which is quite complex. The present study demonstrated that the developed bioadsorbent has an adsorption capacity between 1.14-0.64 mg/g and achieved aluminum removal rates above 73% in all experiments, with the maximum removal (about 98%) observed at pH 4.5. This high efficiency in aluminum removal, combined with the use of agro-industrial waste as a bioadsorbent source, makes it a cost-effective and environmentally friendly solution. This suggests a promising potential for real-world water treatment applications, particularly in irrigation systems. Such an approach offers a sustainable and efficient solution for contaminant removal, in line with the increasing focus on environmental responsibility in water management.

    A newly developed Smart Pouch with enclosed biomaterial (Aloe vera and coconut husk powder) has been experimented for elimination of heavy metals i.e. (Pb2+, Cu2+, Ni2+ and Zn2+) from wastewater. The effect of concentration, pH, temperature, contact duration etc. was investigated using batch experiments which resulted that the Pouch may be accepted for convenient, efficient and low-cost accumulation of several heavy metals simultaneously from waste water. The maximum Pb removal was 99.99%, 93.21% for Cu, and for Ni, it was 91.97% whereas for Zn, 86.41% was obtained and also, the uptake capacity of pouch was quite sensitive towards initial metal concentration in the studied range of 10-200mg/L present in wastewater. The findings were further interpreted by quantum chemical study as theoretical support, various adsorption isotherms, FTIR, SEM, XRD, and physiochemical properties of metal ions to justify the synergized performance of new Pouch. A good correlation was found between experimental methods and theoretical findings.

    گیاه صبر زرد دارویی با نام علمیAloe vera ازجمله گیاهان دارویی با ارزش در دنیا است. در این آزمایش فاکتور های رشد، بقاء و نسبت جنسی در فرزندان نسل اول ماهیان دم شمشیری تغذیه شده با عصاره آلوئه ورا مورد بررسی قرار گرفت. ماهیان مولد با جیره حاوی سطوح مختلف عصاره پودری آلوئه ورا 0 (شاهد یا تیمار 1) ، 20 (تیمار 2) ، 40 (تیمار 3) ، 80 (تیمار 4) و160 (تیمار 5) میلی گرم بر کیلو گرم جیره غذایی به مدت 14 هفته تغذیه شدند. در پایان آزمایش نتایج نشان داد که بیش ترین میزان میانگین تعداد لارو به مولد در تیمار 4 و کم ترین میزان میانگین تعداد لارو به مولد در تیمار ا، 2 و 5 مشاهده شد. بین تیمار های 3 و 4 اختلاف معنی د اری مشاهده نشد. بیش ترین و کم ترین میزان نسبت جنسی ماده به نر به ترتیب در تیمار های 5 و 3 مشاهده شد. نتایج نشان داد که استفاده از دوز 40 و 80 میلی گرم عصاره پودری آلوئه ورا بر کیلوگرم جیره در مولدین ماده باعث افزایش تعداد لاروهای نر دم شمشیری حاصله از تکثیر شده است.

    Aloe Vera is one of the most valuable medicine herbs in the world. In this experiment, the growth factor, survival and sex ratio were meagured in the first-generation off spring of the Xiphophorus helleri fed with Aloe vera extract. Productive fish were fed diet containing different levels of Aloe vera powder extract 0 (control or treatment 1), 20 (treatment 2), 40 (treatment 3), 80 (treatment 4) and 160 (treatment 5) mg / kg for 14 weeks. At the end of the experiment, the results showed that the highest number average of larvae than productive was observed in treatment 4 and the lowest number average of larvae than productive was observed in 2 and 5 treatments and there were no significant differences between 3 and 4 treatments (P >0.05). The highest and the lowest sex ratio of male to female were observed in treatments 5 and 3 respectively. As a general conclusion, it can be concluded that the use of 40 and 80 mg of Aloe Vera powder extract per kg of diet in female broodstock probably increased the number of replicated male Xiphophorus helleri larvae.

    دیازینون یکی از آفت کش های ارگانوفسفره، به دلیل پایداری بالا و حلالیت کم در آب می تواند اثرات مخربی بر پوست و بافت آبزیان بگذارد که به دلیل عدم تصفیه فاضلاب های زراعی، مزارع پرورش ماهی در معرض سمومی از این قبیل قرار گرفته اند. آلوورا گیاه دارویی شناخته شده با اثرات مختلف ضدالتهابی و محرک سیستم ایمنی است. در این رابظه مطالعه ای به منظور اثر کوتاه مدت گیاه آلوئه ورا بر ترمیم اثر تخریبی ایجاد شده ناشی از غلظت تحت حاد سم دیازنون بر بافت ماهی و فاکتورهای خونی کپورمعمولی صورت گرفت. در این مطالعه 90 قطعه ماهی کپور معمولی با میانگین وزن اولیه 6/05±45/2 گرم در 9 آکواریوم تقسیم بندی شد. غلظت تحت کشنده سم دیازنون معادل 0/5 میلی گرم در لیتر درنظر گرفته شد. سه تیمار آزمایشی شامل: 1) تغذیه خوراکی با جیره حاوی 5 درصد آلوئه ورا خام، 2) تیمار 10 درصد حمام آلوئه ورا، 3) تیمار شاهد (بدون آلوئه ورا) ، هرکدام در 3 تکرار درنظر گرفته شد. نتایج فراسنجه های خونی نشان داد گلبول قرمز، گلبول سفید و هموگلوبین بین تیمارهای آزمایشی اختلاف معنی داری داشت (P<0/05) در حالی که، در میزان هماتوکریت،MCV، MCH و MCHC تفاوت معنی داری مشاهده نشد (0/05<P). بیش ترین میزان گلبول قرمز، گلبول سفید و هموگلوبین در تیمار 2 (حمام آلوورا) مشاهده شد در حالی که کم ترین آن در گروه شاهد بود. نتایج هیستوپاتولوژیکی، در برش بافتی مربوط به کبد هر دو تیمار درمانی حمام و غذا آلوئه ورا از بین رفتن چربی در هپاتوسیت ها مشاهده شد. دربرش بافتی آبشش تیمار تغذیه با غذا آلوئه ورا 5%، هایپرپلازی سلول های رشته های آبششی اولیه و ثانویه، کوتاه شدن رشته های آبششی و تورم پایه خارهای آبششی ثانویه دیده شد. در آبشش مربوط به تیمار حمام آلوئه ورا نیز پرخونی خفیف دیده شد. به طورکلی، به نظر می رسد تیمار حمام آلوئه ورا بیش ترین اثر ترمیمی را بر اساس بافتی و بهبود فراسنجه های خونی داشته باشد.

    Diazinon is one of the organophosphate toxins which has destructive impacts on skin and tissue in fish due to having high stability and low solubility in water. Farm fish are exposed to these toxins, since water wastes are not filtered after exiting. Aloe vera is pharmaceutic plant with anti-inflammatory and immune stimulant effect. This research was conducted to evaluate the short-term effect of Aloe vera on rehabilitate the tissue of common carp damaged by sub-lethal diazinon concentration. For this intent 90 carps with initial mean weight of 45.2±6.05 were divided into 9 aquariums. Sub-lethal diazinon concentration was applied at concentration of 0.5 mg/l. Treatments were including 1) diet containing 5% crude Aloe vera 2) Aloe vera 10% bathing 3) control (without Aloe vera) and each treatments were in 3 replicates. Results of the blood parameters including red blood cell, white blood cell and hemoglobin showed significant differences between treatments (P<0.05) But there were no significant differences in hematocrit, MCV, MCH and MCHC (P>0.05). Higher value of red blood cell, white blood cell and hemoglobin was observed in the Aloe vera bathing fishes but control fish was lowest among treatments. Histopathologic results showed hyperplasia in primary and secondary gill filaments, shortening the gill filaments and secondary gill base swelling in fish fed diet 5% of Aloe vera. Also hyperemia was observed in Aloe vera bath treatment. Generally it seems that, Aloe vera bath treatment had the better influence on recovery of tissue and blood factors improvement.

    The aim of this study was to evaluate the effects of Aloe vera extract (AE) on the immunity responses and hematological parameters in rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) fry to develop alternative drug to chemotherapeutics and antibiotics in aquaculture. 1200 rainbow trout (Oncorynchus mykiss) fry weighing 2±0.2 gram were randomly allocated into two treatment groups including: 1) placebo-treated group (control), 2) Aloe vera extract-treated group, each of three replicates. The fishes were hand-fed once a day with diet medicated AE or placebo at a rate of 1% of feed weight in the first feeding for 8 weeks. At the end of every two weeks 24 hrs after feeding, some of hematological and immunological parameters were analyzed. The results showed that serum total protein, albumin and globulin, respiratory burst activity, phagocytic activity and serum lysozyme activity vary among the two treatment groups which were found to be higher in AE-treated group (p<0.05). However there were no significant differences in hematological parameters between two groups. It was concluded that supplementation of AE at a rate of 1% registered higher immunological responses in compared to placebo group. Therefore, supplementation of AE in fish diets would enhance the nonspecific immunity responses and would be use particularly at time of outbreaks.

    For centuries, Aloe Vera has been used by many different cultures. The ancient Greeks, the Romans, the Babylonians, Indians and the Chinese have all used Aloe Vera as a medicinal plant. One of the common experimental cancer models is sarcoma-180. When Aloe was administered to mice bearing S-180 tumors, the tumor growth was inhibited. Aloe vera is a dietary supplement and not a regulated drug. There is no guarantee of strength, purity, or safety of these products. Aloe vera is approved by the Food and Drug Administration as a food additive for flavor.

    The effect of Gibberellic Acid (GA3) and Benzyladenine (BA) on Aloe vera was evaluated at pot cultivation conditions. This study was performed in two factorial test based on complete random plan and 4 repeats with 12 treatments. The main factor was included spraying, drip and spraying + drip. Secondary factor was included concentrations of GA3 and BA at 0, 100, 200 and 400 mg.L-1 levels. The number of Offset was increased by addition of GA3 and BA levels. The results show that the number of Offset has been better in drip application than spraying method. The use of drip+spraying method has caused improve in the plant than other methods. The maximum offset was obtained in 400 mg.L-1 concentration of BA
