    Growth in population has caused a corresponding increase in agricultural production which consequently led to an increase in agricultural wastes or byproducts. This is sometimes difficult to manage and may pose a menace to the society if not properly disposed. Hence, this research investigated the efficacy of utilizing agricultural byproduct (melon husk) in removing Pb2+ and Cd2+ from wastewaters so as to prevent their deleterious impact on ecosystem and public health. This was achieved by treating tannery effluents with melon husks modified with H3PO4, NaOH and CH4N2O. Results showed that, the Freundlich and Langmuir adsorption capacities on the modified melon husks ranged from 0.1403 – 1.551 mg/g and 0.1499 – 0.6013 mg/g, respectively. Also, the R2 values for Pseudo 1st and 2nd order rate constants ranged from 0.0272 – 0.2391 and 0.9112 – 0.9958, respectively. Hence, it was concluded that the modified melon husks followed Freundlich isotherm model as well as Pseudo-2nd order kinetics and could be effectively used to remove Pb2+ and Cd2+ from wastewater.

    Fuzzy measures are suitable in analyzing human subjective evaluation processes. Several different strategies have been proposed for distance of fuzzy numbers. The distances introduced for fuzzy numbers can be categorized in two groups:\\
    1. The crisp distances which explain crisp values for the distance between two fuzzy numbers.\\
    2. The fuzzy distance which introduce a fuzzy distance for normal fuzzy numbers. It was introduced by Voxman \cite{33} for the first time through using $\alpha$-cut.\\
    However, both mentioned concepts can lead to unsatisfactory results from the applications point of view, but there is no method, which gives a satisfactory result to all situations. In this paper, a new attitude coupled with fuzzy thinking to the fuzzy distance function on the set of fuzzy numbers is proposed. In this new fuzzy distance, we considered both mentioned attitudes, then we introduced new fuzzy distance based on a combination (hybrid) of those two. Some properties of the proposed fuzzy distance have been discussed. Finally, several examples have been provided to explain the application of the proposed method and compare this methods with others.

    In this paper, some results of the Chebyshev type integral inequality for the pseudo-integral are proven. The obtained results, are related to the measure of a level set of the maximum and the sum of two non-negative integrable functions. Finally, we applied our results to the case of comonotone functions.

    In the present research work, the kinetics of sunflower oil transesterification reaction in the presence of Ba-Sr/ZSM-5 nanocatalyst which prepared using incipient wetness impregnation method was investigated. The 10wt.%Ba-Sr/ZSM-5 (Sr/Ba=3/2) nanocatalyst was calcined at 600 °C for 6 h with a heating rate of 3 ºC/min. The experimental conditions were the methanol/oil 9/1molar ratio, reaction time (0-180 min) and reaction temperature (323–333 K) with mechanical stirring of 500 rpm. An irreversible pseudo-second order kinetics was considered for triglyceride conversion from the best modeling of experimental data. From the kinetic study, Ea=67.03 kJ/mol and A=9.29×108 1/min were obtained. The yield of the methyl ester products (86.69%) were determined using gas chromatography–mass spectrometry. characterization of the catalysts and precursors was performed by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-Ray diffraction (XRD), Transmission electron microscopy (TEM), and N2 adsorption-desorption measurement methods.

    The aim of this paper is to generalize the‎‎notion of pseudo-almost valuation domains to arbitrary‎ ‎commutative rings‎. ‎It is shown that the classes of chained rings‎ ‎and pseudo-valuation rings are properly contained in the class of‎ ‎pseudo-almost valuation rings; also the class of pseudo-almost‎ ‎valuation rings is properly contained in the class of quasi-local‎ ‎rings with linearly ordered prime ideals‎.

    تحلیل شبه استاتیکی یکی از روش های متداول در طراحی سدهای خاکی است و کمیسیون بین المللی سدهای بزرگ (ICOLD)، استفاده از این روش را پیش از انجام تحلیل های دینامیکی نهایی توصیه نموده است. در این تحقیق، با استفاده از مشخصات مصالح سد مسجد سلیمان تحلیل های استاتیکی، شبه استاتیکی و دینامیکی انجام شده و با استفاده از نتایج تحلیلهای دینامیکی ضریب اطمینان دینامیکی و شبه استاتیکی بحرانی ترین گوه مستعد لغزش محاسبه گردیده است. تغییر مکان ماندگار بحرانی-ترین گوه لغزشی محاسبه گردیده و سپس ضرایب اطمینان محاسبه شده در مراحل قبل با یکدیگر مقایسه و برای تراز های مختلف آب مخزن، ضریب شتاب افقی متغیر در ارتفاع سد با استفاده از روشی پیشنهادی مورد بررسی قرار گرفته است.

    The pseudo-static analysis is one of the conventional methods in embankment dams design and International Commission on Large Dams (ICOLD) suggests using this method before ultimate dynamic analyses. In this research, the static, pseudo-static and dynamic analysis of Masjed Soleyman embankment dam have been performed. Using dynamic and pseudo-static analyses results, the safety factor of critical sliding surface were calculated. Permanent displacements of critical sliding surface were evaluated by Newmark method and the calculated safety factor was compared. Based on the comparison results in different water levels of the reservoir and by introducing a new equation, the variable horizontal acceleration coefficients in height of the dam body were calculated. Finally, obtained horizontal acceleration coefficients were compared with other criteria introduced in different embankment dam's design codes. Totally, the results indicate that the proposed method leads to a larger horizontal acceleration coefficient in higher parts of the dam body.

    A projective parameter of a geodesic as solution of certain ODE is defined to be a parameter which is invariant under projective change of metric. Using projective parameter and Poincaré metric, an intrinsic projectively invariant pseudo-distance can be constructed. In the present work, solutions of the above ODE are characterized with respect to the sign of parallel Ricci tensor on a Finsler space. Moreover, the Ricci tensor is used to define a Finsler structure and it is shown that, the pseudo-distance is trivial on complete Finsler spaces of positive semi-definite Ricci tensor and it is a distance on a Finsler space of parallel negative definite Ricci tensor.

    Nanocomposites of multi-walled carbon nanotubes and titanium dioxide (MWCNT/TiO2) were synthesized by the sol-gel method. Regarding hydrophobicity of carbon nanotubes (CNTs), benzyl alcohol was used as the linking agent between CNT powder and TiO2 gel which was prepared from the precursor of titanium tetraisopropoxide. The prepared samples were treated under thermal treatments. A part of the samples was heated to prepare MWCNT/TiO2 nanocomposite with anatase TiO2 and the other parts were heated until burning CNTs and prepare pseudo-tube TiO2 (PT-TiO2). The aterials were characterized by field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), thermo gravimetric analysis (TGA), Brunauer-Emmet-Teller (BET) measurement and UV-vis diffuse reflectance spectra (DRS). The hotocatalytic activity of MWCNT/TiO2 nd PT-TiO2 was studied for degradation of acetaldehyde under UV-visible and visible light irradiation. The Photocatalytic reaction was examined in a gaseous stirred flow reactor equipped with 80W Hg lamp and the concentration–time results were compared with commercial TiO2 (P25-TiO2). Considerable reduction of acetaldehyde concentration was achieved under visible irradiation by the MWCNT/TiO2 nanocomposite, whereas none of the PT-TiO2 and typical P25-TiO2 showed activity under visible light. An optimal fraction of 30 wt% MWCNT in anatase TiO2 was found to have the highest activity under visible light irradiation.

    In this paper, we use parametric form of fuzzy number and we converta fuzzy linear system to two linear system in crisp case. Conditions for the existence of a minimal solution to $mtimes n$ fuzzy linear equation systems are derived and a numerical procedure for calculating the minimal solution is designed. Numerical examples are presented to illustrate the proposed method.

    برای مدل بندی پدیده هایی که با زاویه شناسایی می شوند توزیع های جهتی ابزارهای بسیار مفیدی هستند. اخیرا، استفاده از این توزیع ها در علوم متنوعی مانند زیست شناسی، نجوم، هواشناسی و بیوانفورماتیک مورد توجه زیادی قرار گرفت. بویژه در تحقیقات علوم زیستی نشان داده شد که دو زوج زاویه وجود دارند که تا حد دقیقی ساختار هندسی و فضایی کامل یک پروتئین را در یک فضای سه بعدی توصیف می کنند. برای تشریح احتمالاتی براساس موقعیت اتم های پروتئین مقادیر توام این دو زاویه توزیعی به نام فون میزس دومتغیره وجود دارد. در این مقاله با مطالعه یکی از حالت های خاص این توزیع (مدل کسینوسی)، ابتدا به بررسی ویژگی های توزیع شامل تعداد مدهای توزیع و تقریب آن توسط نرمال دومتغیره پرداخته می شود. سپس نحوه برآورد پارامترهای توزیع به روش شبه درستنمایی تشریح می شود. مطالب نظری مقاله در مطالعه شبیه سازی بررسی و سپس کاربست مدل کسینوسی در یک مثال کاربردی ارزیابی می شود.

    Directional statistics are very useful tools to model the phenomenon that are characterized by the angles. Recently, various disciplines including biology, astronomy, meteorology and bioinformatics have paid attention to use these distributions. Particularly, it was shown in biological researches that there are two pair angles describing, relatively, the complete geometrical and spatial structures of a protein in the three dimensional space. There is a distribution, called bivariate Von-Mises, to represent the position of the atoms based upon the values of these angles in a probabilistic manner. In this paper, considering an especial case of this density (cosine model), the properties of distribution including the numbers of modes and its approximation by the bivariate normal distribution are first studied. Then, to estimate the parameters using the pseudo-likelihood method is described. The theoretical materials are evaluated in simulation studies and then the application of the cosine model in a real example is presented.

    In this paper, first we develop the duality concept for $g$-Bessel sequences and Bessel fusion sequences in Hilbert spaces. We obtain some results about dual, pseudo-dual and approximate dual of frames and fusion frames. We also expand every $g$-Bessel sequence to a frame by summing some elements. We define the restricted isometry property for $g$-frames and generalize some results from (B. G. Bodmann et al, Fusion frames and the restricted isometry property, Num. Func. Anal. Optim. 33 (2012) 770-790) to $g$-frame situation. Finally we study the stability of $g$-frames under erasure of operators.

    در این مقاله برآوردگرهای (شبه) درستنمایی و توزیع حدی آماره آزمون نمره مربوط به چند آزمون فرض مختلف از جمله آزمون داشتن ریشه واحد برای مدل رگرسیونی خطی با مانده های مانا و نامانا به دست آورده می شوند. سپس با روش مونت کارلو نشان داده می شود که برآوردگرهای (شبه) درستنمایی به دست آمده، برآوردگرهای مناسبی هستند و چندک های توزیع حدی آماره های آزمون داشتن ریشه واحد محاسبه و در جداولی ارائه می شوند

    In this paper، the pseudo-likelihood estimators and the limiting distribution of the score test statistic associated with several hypothesis tests such as unit root test for the linear regression models with stationary and nonstationary residuals are calculated. The limiting behavior of theses test statistics by using a simpler approach of the original presentation is derived. Also by using a Mont Carlo method، it is shown that the derived pseudo-likelihood estimators are appropriate. The quantiles of the limiting distribution of the test statistic for a unit root are also calculated and a new table is provided which can be used by researchers for the unit root test.

    در آمارگیری از جامعه های متناهی معمولا یک نمونه ی احتمالاتی از یک چارچوب نمونه گیری که واحدهای جامعه ی هدف را پوشش می دهد انتخاب می شود. در برخی موارد، چارچوبی که در دسترس است به صورت کامل جامعه ی هدف را پوشش نمی دهد. لذا آماره های آمارگیری با استفاده از این چارچوب ها اغلب اریب هستند. از طرفی روزامدسازی چارچوبی که در دسترس است نیاز به صرف هزینه های زیاد دارد. از آمارگیری های چندچارچوبی با هدف افزایش پوشش جامعه و بهبود میزان اریبی و کاهش هزینه ها استفاده می شود. در آمارگیری های چندچارچوبی، نمونه ها به صورت مستقل از چندچارچوب که پوشش مناسبی از جامعه ی هدف ارایه می کنند و هم پوشانی دارند انتخاب می شوند. چندین براوردگر برای مجموع جامعه ای در آمارگیری های چندچارچوبی مطرح شده است. ما در این مقاله ضمن معرفی این براوردگرها، در یک مطالعه ی شبیه سازی کارایی براوردگرهای مختلف را با هم مقایسه می کنیم.

    In surveys from finite populations usually a probability sample is selected from a sampling frame containing all the units in the target population. In some cases the frame that is available cannot cover target population completely so survey statistics from these frames are bias. On the other hand updating the frame that is available is too expensive. Multiple frame survey can be used to increase population coverage, reduce bias and decrease costs. In multiple frame surveys samples are drown independently from overlapping multiple frames so that these frames give an appropriate coverage of the target population. Several estimators for population total in multiple frame surveys are discussed. In this article we introduce these estimators in a simulation study, we compare performance of different total estimators.

    هنگام حل عددی شکل اویلری معادلات آب کم عمق، مهار ناپایداری غیرخطی و جلوگیری از بروز آن لازم است. یک راه حل رایج، اضافه کردن یک جمله فراپخش به معادله تاوایی است. در تحقیق حاضر، سه روش با توانایی تفکیک زیاد یعنی روش های ابرفشرده مرتبه ششم، فشرده مرتبه چهارم و روش طیفی وار و نیز روش مرتبه دوم مرکزی برای حل عددی معادلات آب کم عمق در صفحه مورد استفاده قرار می گیرند. سپس اثر استفاده از توان های متفاوت در جمله فراپخش بر دقت حل معادلات آب کم عمق در طرحواره های متفاوت مورد آزمایش قرار می گیرد. همچنین نحوه به کار گیری یک پالایه فشرده درحکم راه حلی جایگزین برای مهار ناپایداری غیرخطی در روش های فشرده نیز بررسی می شود. در انتها نتایج حاصل از شبیه سازی معادلات آب کم عمق با استفاده از روش های مورد بررسی و اثر میزان پخش عددی بر دقت حل آنها، از دو دیدگاه خطای جرم و نبود توازن مورد بررسی و تحلیل قرار می گیرد. نتایج به دست آمده نشان می دهد که برای روش مرتبه دوم مرکزی که یک روش با توانایی تفکیک پایین است، انتخاب توان جمله فراپخش با توجه به تفکیک شبکه محدودیت دارد. از دیدگاه خطای جرم و نیز نبود توازن، استفاده از جمله فراپخش مرتبه دوم، نتیجه معکوس بر دقت حل می گذارد. همچنین استفاده از جمله فراپخش مرتبه شش و پالایه فشرده مرتبه هشت با استفاده از روش ابرفشرده مرتبه ششم و روش طیفی وار نتیجه تقریبا یکسانی را به دست می دهد.

    To control the nonlinear numerical instability, throughout the time evolution of the Eulerian form of the nonlinear rotating shallow water equations, it is necessary to add numerical diffusion to the solution. It is clear that, this extra numerical diffusion degrades the accuracy of the numerical solution and should be kept as small as possible. In a conventional approach a hyper-diffusion is used to maintain the numerical stability. In the present work, the influence of using different orders of hyper-diffusion on the accuracy of the numerical solution of the shallow water equations generated by some high-order numerical methods is examined. Furthermore, application of an eighth-order compact spatial filter as an alternative way to provide the numerical diffusion is considered. In the present work, the vorticity-divergence-mass representation of the shallow water equations is considered for numerical simulation. To advance the governing equations in time the semi-implicit approach combined with the three level leapfrog method for the time discretization of the temporal derivatives, is used. The second-order central, the fourth-order compact, the sixth-order super compact finite difference and the pseudo-spectral methods are applied to spatial differencing of the shallow water equations. For a quantitative assessment of accuracy, the global measures of the distribution of mass between potential vorticity iso-levels, called mass error, is used. In addition, based on the results of some recent investigations, decomposing a flow into a balanced part representing vortical flow and an unbalanced part representing freely propagating inertia-gravity waves has found significant usefulness in the accuracy analysis of the numerical solution of the primitive equations. Therefore, in this work the representation of balance and imbalance are also used for quantitative assessment of the numerical accuracy. It is found that the numerical diffusion plays a crucial role in the accuracy of numerical solution. Results show that using lower order hyper-diffusion terms degrades the numerical accuracy. Furthermore, results show that using higher orders of hyper-diffusion for the sixth-order super compact and pseudo-spectral method is essential. In addition, it is observed that based on the quantitative measures of the mass error, using a sixth-order hyper-diffusion term or using the eighth-order compact spatial filter has nearly a similar effect on the numerical accuracy of the shallow water equations generated by the sixth-order super compact finite difference and the pseudo-spectral methods. The same conclusion is valid based on the quantitative measures of the imbalance in particular for hyper-diffusion terms with orders greater than two.

    In this paper, we characterize multiresolution analysis(MRA) Parseval frame multiwavelets in L^2(R^d) with matrix dilations of the form (D f)(x) = sqrt{2}f (Ax), where A is an arbitrary expanding dtimes d matrix with integer coefficients, such that |detA| =2. We study a class of generalized low pass matrix filters that allow us to define (and construct) the subclass of MRA tight frame multiwavelets. This leads us to an associated class of generalized scaling functions that are not necessarily obtained from a multiresolution analysis. We also investigate several properties of these classes of generalized multiwavelets, scaling functions, matrix filters and give some characterizations about them. Finally, we describe the matrix multipliers classes associated with Parseval frame multiwavelets(PFMWs) in L^2(R^d) and give an example to prove our theory.
