Family is considered as the most fundamental and basic shaping, and underlies drug abusing. This research aimed to investigate the relationships between parenting styles (authoritative, permissive and despotic) as one of the most effective family factors on child growth and addiction potentiality among the students. The statistical population of research consisted of all student of Medical Ilam University of Medical Sciences in the second semester 2012-2013 academic years. Therefore 220 students selected with multistage random sampling, and completed the Baumrind parenting styles questionnaire (1972) and addiction potentiality (Zargar, 1996). Data has been analyzed by Pearson correlation tests and regression using SPSS 16. The outcomes of pearson correlation analysis showed that there have been negative relationships between authoritative parenting style and addiction potentiality and between permissive, despotic parenting styles and addiction potentiality positive and meaningful relationships reported. The results of regression analysis showed that parenting styles (authoritative, permissive and despotic) described about 38 percentages of addiction potentiality variances, too. According to present research results, parenting styles is one of the most effective reasons on students’ tendency to the drug abusing. With this mind, the hygienic officials and activists should make suitable policies to increase parent’s information in parenting styles education field.Keywords: parenting styles, (authoritative, permissive, despotic), students, addiction potentiality

ObjectiveTo investigate relationship between addiction potentiality and different dimensions of emotional self-regulation.Materials And MethodsThis descriptive and correlational study included students of Sistan and Baluchistan University, Sistan and Baluchestan, Iran. Participants were selected by random sampling method. We applied Addiction Potential Scale (APS) and Difficult in Emotion Regulation Scale (DERS) for this study. For statistical analysis, Pearson correlation and regression analysis methods were used.ResultsThe results show that there is a positive and significant relationship between the addiction potential and all dimensions of emotional self-regulation (excepting lack of awareness). The enter regression analysis for prediction of the APS by the DERS shows that the DERS predicts 16% of the APS variances.ConclusionRegard to the results, it is necessary to introduce an especial program in emotional self-regulation for the youth with addiction potential.Keywords: Emotional Self, Regulation, Addiction Potentiality, Students

زمینه و هدف
ویژگی های شخصیتی و همنوایی از عوامل روان شناختی مهم در گرایش به رفتارهای پر خطر از جمله اعتیاد به شمار می روند. این پژوهش با هدف بررسی رابطه اعتیادپذیری با شخصیت، همنوایی و نقش جنسیت در بین دانش آموزان مقطع متوسطه شهر کرمان انجام شده است.
روش بررسیدر این مطالعه توصیفی-تحلیلی 118 دانش آموز مقطع پیش دانشگاهی ناحیه 2 شهر کرمان با روش نمونه گیری خوشه ایانتخاب شدند. ابزارهای پژوهش شامل: آزمون پنج عامل بزرگ شخصیت (فرم کوتاه)، همنوایی ال_72 و اعتیاد پذیری بود. داده ها به کمک ضریب همبستگی پیرسون، رگرسیون چند متغیره و آزمون t مورد تحلیل قرار گرفتند.
یافته هابین همنوایی و اعتیاد پذیری رابطه مثبت معنادار وجود داشت (01/0>P). همچنین اعتیاد پذیری با ویژگی شخصیتی روان رنجوری رابطه مثبت و معنی دار و با ویژگی های شخصیتی وجدانی بودن و توافق گرایی رابطه منفی معنی دار وجود داشت (01/0>P). نتایج تحلیل t نشان داد که از لحاظ همنوایی در بین دختران و پسران تفاوتی وجود ندارد (05/0P).
نتیجه گیریافراد همنوا و افرادی که از لحاظ شخصیتی آسیب پذیرند مستعد اعتیاد می باشند. بنابراین ضروری است که در برنامه های آموزشی، پیشگیری و درمانی اعتیاد بر این ویژگی های روانشناختی تاکید گردد.

This study was performed to study the relationship between addiction potentiality and personality، conformity، and gender among pre-university students in Kerman، Iran.
MethodsIn this descriptive–analytic study، 118 students were selected by cluster sampling in region 2، Kerman. Data were collected by the five big personality factors، Conformity 72-L، and addiction potentiality tests. Data were analyzed using the mean، standard deviation، Pearson correlation co-efficienct، multi regression، and t-test.
ResultsThe findings showed a significant positive relationship between conformity and addiction potentiality (P<0. 01). In addition، addiction potentiality had a significant positive correlation with neuroticism personality traits and a significant negative correlation with conscientiousness and agreeableness as personality characteristics (P<0. 01). T-test analysis showed that there was no difference in terms of conformity among girls and boys (P<0. 05)، but boys were more prone to addiction potentiality than girls in a significant difference (P<0. 05).
ConclusionThose who have high conformity and vulnerability in terms of their personality are prone to addiction. Therefore، it is necessary in educational، preventive and treatment programs of addiction to emphasize on these psychological characteristics
