A discussion about social capital and its relationship with urban management and Economics (Case Study: Mashhad and Sabzevar)

The social capital is new concept that during the recent decades, have became propounded and developed among the disciplines of human sciences and related with manifold issues. The central context of social capital theory is significance of human interactions..Consideration of this issue in cities- as the most condensed from of human settlement- is important, where prepare the way for interactive cooperation among the people. In this article, social and its determinants and relationship with some aspects of urban management and economics in Mashhad and Sabzevar have been examined. Social capital measured with two components of trust in municipality and city council and membership among the social groups. The research method in this article is quantitative and the technique used is surveying. Surveying in this study have done in two years (1387 and 1390).The finding of this study indicates variables of monthly payments and income and education in Mashhad and education variable in Sabzevar have significant and reversed correlation with social capital From other variables that have significant effect on social capital, can mention: residence duration in city, immigrant and non immigrant, sexuality, employment state and place of birth. There is significant correlation between voluntarily participation of citizens in order to provide part of financial sources of municipality by way of tax timely payments and toll and other public expenditures and their trust in municipality.
