Qur an and the New Approaches on the Theory of Evolution

This paper is going to study the relation of new approaches on the theory of evolution and the holy Qur’an. The theory of evolution was systematically propounded by Charles Robert Darwin in 1859 (A.D) via publishing a book “On the Origin of Species ". According to this theory various kinds of creatures have common ancestor. After the demise of Darwin the problems which the theory had suffered got unveiled by meticulous critiques of researchers and caused that variety of approaches should emerge in this regard. The evolution theory of Darwin was coincidently taken in serious debates of theology too. A series of scientific debates concerning theology and evolution was published. The paper at hand is a Qur’anic observation in regard to the new approaches taken toward the theory of evolution. Firstly it classifies the new approaches in various categories. Those theories which enjoy a commonality are situated in one set. Moreover, in this classification the new approaches are presented in four sets and are one by one studied with the Qur’anic verses talking about creation. Finally it will be proved that the Qur’anic propositions in respect to the human kind have apparently problems and contradictions with the two biological and theistic approaches of the above mentioned theory. But it does not have any problem with the two substantiated approach and the approach which derives from the Qur’anic instructions.
