Qualitative Study on Abnormal Driving

The Frequency of the accidents due to abnormal driving and the related costs has now turned to be one of the most important social issues in our society. Although there have been some studies performed on the results of abnormal driving and the related costs, the theme which is the behavior seems not to be investigated exactly yet.The present study which is a combination of a qualitative research and deep interviews aims at clarifying the barriers on the way of drivers to internalize the rules and regulations.The findings of the study showed that the following variables can impede the process of internalization of the rules and regulations; deficiency in the socialization processes; job unsatisfaction, lack of knowledge about the consequences of defying rules.
