The Effect of the Method of Teaching Religious Values based on Thomas Likona's Theory about Character and Personality Education on Internalization of Chastity Value

Abstract:
The present paper explores the effect of teaching religious values based on Likona's theory about character and personality education on internalizing of chastity value in high school students in Qom, zone 4, through the curriculum. The statistical population includes students of a private high school named Javidan. The statistical sample includes 14 students who were selected on the basis of sampling standards. Tables of frequency, descriptive and inferential statistics were used to analyze data. The research findings show that there is a significant difference between the curriculum of teaching religious value based on character and personality education approach and internalization of student's chastity value, which underlines the change in the student's attitude towards this value in as far as importance of chastity of speech, dress, seeing, hearing, and sexual behavior are concerned.
