Evaluation of triple levels (intended, executed and attained) of curriculum of master's degree in disciplinary operation

Abstract:
The social order and disciplinary activities as the center of curriculums in Police University includes the competences and capabilities and Police University has been established for preparing the police officers. The researchers study the conformity of triple curriculum levels and after determining the police competences for training the students proportional to the changing world, and analyze the content of curriculum of master’s degree in disciplinary operation (courses: crime prevention management, adaptive disciplinary police, public collaboration, crime geography and analysis of disciplinary events). The purpose of this research is clarifying this point that the content, objectives and syllabuses and ultimately the executive process of specialized curriculum to how extent created the police competences in the student officers. The research methodology is descriptive-survey and its sampling group is consisted of disciplinary dept. professors, specialized courses professors (disciplinary operation), the students and graduates of this course. Whereas the sampling group size was limited, all samples were selected. The researcher made questionnaire was the research tool, the validity and reliability of which was studies and confirmed in the preliminary stage. The findings of this study indicate that the realization of police competences through executive process of curriculums for students is low so that this rate implies the low chance for realization of these competences in the students and graduates. This is because of nonconformity of curriculum levels so that the conformity between intended and executed curriculum is 41.5%, and between executed and attainted curriculum is 40.76%. The results of this research indicate that the lack of conformity between the curriculum levels of master’s degree course on disciplinary operation is effective on non-realization of police competences in the students, as well as, lack of systemic viewpoint for compilation, design and execution of curriculum and non-consideration to assessment of police competences by the disciplinary operation committee and disregarding the factors and criteria related to the triple levels cause non-realization of police competences in students and graduates of master’s degree course on disciplinary operation.
