The role of anxiety due to social negative evaluation in social isolation of adolescents

In present study investigating the role anxiety due to social negative evaluation in social isolation in a group of adolescents aged 14 to 18 Yasuj city. To this end، 400 adolescents (200 boys and 200 girls) were selected by multistage sampling. They responded to Brief Fear of Negative Evaluation Scale (BFNE) and scale of social isolation (UCLA). Then data were analyzed using the Pearson correlation coefficient، linear regression and independent t test. Results showed that there is a significant positive correlation among anxiety due to social negative evaluation and social isolation. And anxiety due to social negative evaluation is a good predictor of social evaluation. The results indicate that anxiety due to social negative evaluation in adolescents is higher، will be more social isolation
