Maroof Al-rosafi, Poet of Patriotism Review the Signs of Patriotism in his Poetry

Maroof Al-rosafi the most famous Iraqi poet (1785/1945) was born in Baqdad. He used his poetry to defend his country against the colonialism and try to show social weaknesses in his society and tried to solve these problems. Therefore, he tried to show his compatriots the ways for campaign against imposed contracts by colonialist countries, campaign against internal colonialism and be united in this way, and want them attention to the situation of woman, poor people, orphans… and try to resolve this bad situation in the community.So he used his poetry to defend his society and his compatriot and this article aim to discuss an evaluate his ideas in this area to prove that he was a poet patriotism.
