Abstract:
Nowadays entrepreneurship orientation and entrepreneurial activities have become the focus of attention by many researchers because of fast-moving markets and competitive conditions. Corporate entrepreneurship is an imperative for the improvement of organizational performance and organizational growth. The aim of this research is to investigate the effects of corporate entrepreneurship activities on performance of public and private organizations.A survey questionnaire was designed to collect data from 70 respondents (top and middle managers) of different firms. The reliability tests were conducted. The internal consistency of the total score was 0.96. Various statistical tests including correlation coefficient, regression analysis, one way ANOVA, t-test and the like have been conducted to test the six hypotheses. The result indicates that, apart from “risk taking” and “customer satisfaction”, there is a positive correlation among research variables and as to the entrepreneurship and performance there is a meaningful difference between public and private firms. Also only 7.33 percent of organizational performance could be defined by the corporate entrepreneurship.
