Location of Medical- health Centers (hospitals) in Birjand city through a Combination of Network Analysis Process (ANP) and Paired comparisons by GIS

Identifying, ranking index and location of services standards are very important in Urban planning and Urban design. This subject is actually more appropriate for managers and officials in selected urban centers which will help them create better places. The purpose of this article is location of medical- health centers in Birjand city by using the multi-parameter decision making process (ANP). Research method is descriptive-analytic, using geographical information system (GIS),and network analysis process (ANP). The Prioritization criteria and positioning based on the two analysis of processes abovementioned, were used from Matlab software, Expert Choice and ARC GIS. After the preparation of the required layers, re-classification and weighting of different layers and analysis process were determined. So that, the suggested locations for Medical- health centers in prospective planning were determined and the four key points were founded regarding the criteria used. These places were derived from a weighted combination of nine criteria and places of a higher value in each layer, to be allocated the layer of suitable places, very good place, an area of 6,304,759 square meters, respectively.
