Globalization, Opportunity or Threat for Environment

Abstract:
Ceasing Globalization as an advanced procedure is not possible. It has started by approaching integration of global economics and free Trade. In addition to economic sphere many other spheres like environment are influenced by globalization. In one side some thinkers believe that environment may encounter with serious threats by increasing economic activities. On the other side, other groups believe that economic growth is a necessity to reach a healthier environment with less waste products.
The aim of this article was study of opportunities and threats of globalization functioning on environment and various possible effects of economic growth arose from globalized economy on the environment. Special attention to sustainable development, supporting green technologies, modification of energy consumption pattern, encouraging to use recyclable and pure energies, carbon tax and environmental labelling are some instances of useful solutions for decreasing negative effects of globalization on the environment which are considered as preventing methods.
