The Survey of Awareness and Knowledge of religious science and social studies teacher's A Case study

Abstract:
The purpose of this survey was to study of awareness and knowledge of religious science and social studies (geography، history and social science) of the teachers of Fars Province using Hanveys'' Five Dimensions of Global Education. These dimensions include Perspective Consciousness، State of planet Awareness، Cross-Cultural Awareness، Knowledge of Global Dynamics and awareness of Human Choices. The Instrument of this survey was «the global and multicultural education survey» (saunders، 2004). Validity of the questionnair was confirmed via material analysis procedure and the Reliability was confirmed using cronbach alpha method. The target population were all of religious science and social studies teachers of Fars Province who training in in-service programs. Using purposeful sampling method and base on sex and discipline factors، the sample was selected. Results indicated that: 1. For religious science teachers، the maximum and minimum means were belonged to State of planet Awareness and Knowledge of Global Dynamics respectively. 2. For social studies teachers، in order، the maximum and minimum means were belong to State of planet Awareness and Knowledge of Global Dynamics. 3. There were significant differences in the awareness and knowledge between religious science and social studies teachers in four Dimensions (Perspective Consciousness، State of planet Awareness، Knowledge of Global Dynamics and awareness of Human Choices). 4. there were significant differences in the awareness and knowledge among male and female religious science and social studies teachers in five Dimensions.
