Dialogism and Polyphony in Prodige, Huston's Novel: from Subtitle to a Narrative Technique

The contemporary novel is an opportunity to share the unspoken and non-heard which are not only different but also contradictory. This harmony of voices has an epistemological value. The multiplicity of narrators plays a decisive role in the progression of the novel. Not in a linear manner, but in a multiple form, or even alternative mode. They move forward-- with control and expertise-- the dislocated and disjointed fragments of the novel. The reader interprets, comments and rebuilds the basic elements of the story, which are apparently scattered; and succeed in combining them together in a cohesive set, The novel, therefore, is a place of paradox and heterogeneity within a coherent work. Prodigy is no exception to this rule. Huston uses multiplicity of diverse voices that intertwine and recede alternately, intelligently enjoying the theme of music, establishing a harmony between the diverse voices of narrators with their point of view.
