Relationship between Alexithymia and beliefs about emotion with renal patient's mental health

regarding the role of emotion in health، the present study conducted to determine Relationship between Alexithymia and beliefs about emotion with renal patient’s mental health.

this study was descriptive – correlation. The statistical community was Kermanshah renal patients، that 110 person (54 male & 56 female) were selected by samples available method. To data collection used of GHQ questionnaire، beliefs about emotion and Alexithymia questionnaire. To data analysis used of correlation and regression.

the study findings showed that is significant and negative relation between Alexithymia and mental health، but no relationship between beliefs about emotion with renal patient’s mental health.

regarding study findings can be say that in renal patients treatments have to note to role of emotions.
