Hygiene and medicine in the light of verses from the Holy Quran

Progression into the depths of human nature has always been one of the most important concerns and basic needs of every generation that not only creates human understanding of the self, but also creates understanding of the large world we live in and enables us to keep our inimitable creator in our minds. In terms of steering into God’s merciful message to the people, the holy religion is retrieved from the boundless ocean of God’s science, always as an original source, and its comprehensive and reliable response to the awareness and life needs of its people has captivated the interest of scholars all over the world. Different studies on their holy Quran show that there is great emphasis on the health and wellbeing of God’s believers, and since healthy people are able to reach a sense of completeness, and a healthy society is composed of healthy people, we decided to have a quick look at the Quran and do a brief research related to health and medicine in the light of verses from the holy Quran. This paper consist a few issues, first: Medicine defined in words and terms, the importance of medicine in the Quran and Hadith, and then a few medical verses from the Quran to be used as proof. However, we reiterate this point that because of the unavailability of original sources and the limited places and scientific writings, we are unable to study this topic as much as it deserves. Therefore, it is possible that some materials presented in this paper do not have scientifically justifiable explanations.
