Discourse analysis of nomination of the year 1391 by the great leader of the Islamic Revolution.

Adapting and declaring the general and macro policies of the country is a responsibility and an authority given to the leader by the constitution. The great leader of the Islamic Revolution, since the early years of his leadership, has nominated each year by a specific name and delineates the main axis of duties for all. The year 1391 (2012) was named the year of national production, supporting the Iranian work and capital. This phenomenon is a response to national conditions and requirements as well as regional and international environment. One of these factors is previously stated discourses and strategies by the great leader, since new statements by his Excellency, are not in void and are based on previously stated ones. The main question of this paper is which one of those statements has had the most significant impact on nominating the year 1391, and what is the relation between each of those with the current slogan? To analyze this statements and explaining their relation with the slogan of»nation production «, discourse analysis approach, a relatively new and quantitative method in humanities, was used. The result was that this slogan aims two main effects: economic growth and flourishment, countering the enemy’s plots. It relates with the statement if the decade of growth and justice, as well as macroeconomic policies of the nation, in terms of the first goal, and with the statement of countering the soft war imposed by the enemy, in terms of the second goal. In addition both are related to the statement of» resistance economy«, so that the core element of resistant economy in strengthening the national production and supporting Iranian work and capital.
