Message:
Abstract:
This research aimed at studying the relationship between D-type personality, cognitive emotion regulation strategies and coronary (CHD) by using structural equation modeling. 100 patients with heart diseases CHD from three Urmia city's heart hospitals were selected using available sampling method, and responded to the D-type Personality Scale, and the Cognitive Emotion Regulation Strategies Questionnaires (CERQ). Data analysis was performed using partial least squares structural equation modeling method. The results indicated that self-blame and other-blame dimensions had significant positive effects on coronary heart diseases and positive refocusing and catastrophizing, acceptance had negative effect on CHD. Also the mediatory role of these dimensions in relationship between negative effect and social inhibition with CHD was supported. In general, the result of this study emphasizes on the key role of non biologic factors such as personality and emotion regulation in coronary heart diseases
