The Role of Religious Orientation in Explaining Psychological Health in Students

Abstract:
Within the psychology of religion there is empirical interest in examining the relationship between religion and mental health.
Objectives
The aim of the present research is to study the role of religious orientation in explaining the general health of students. Method
The method was used descriptive/correlation. Results
The results of data analysis showed no significant difference between religious orientation of the female and male students, but the mean of general health in women was more than men. Results of regression analyzes revealed that general health is expectable from religious orientation. Conclusion
The religion can provide a valid framework for health of believers, so the application programs to strengthen religious beliefs in students is recommended.Keywords:
