An investigation of Causal Relationship Between Workplace Fitness and Organizational Citizenship Behaviors and Counterproductive Behaviors, With the Mediating of Work Motivation in Employees of Gas Company
Abstract: The purpose of this study was to test the proposed model for causal relationship of fit in the workplace with organizational citizenship behavior and counterproductive work behavior، mediating with work motivation. The subjects of the study were 170 employees of Gas Company (Males= 130; Females=40) in Shiraz. Participants completed person-organization fit، person-group fit، person-job fit، work motivation، organizational citizenship behavior and counterproductive work behavior Questionnaires. Amos-7 program software was applied for Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The tested model had good fit indices. Based on the tested structural equation modeling person-organization fit and person-group fit directly and indirectly related to organizational citizenship behavior and counterproductive work behavior. Person-job fit only indirectly through work motivation was related to organizational citizenship behavior and counterproductive work behavior. The results and the models presented in this study are discussed in terms of their organizational and implicational justice.
