Author(s):
Abstract:
Nefrin-e- Zamin (The curse of land) may be regarded as one of the most important novels of Ale-Ahmad, in which he reflects his social predictions and opposition to modernity. In this novel the author’s intention has been to provide the reader with a social analysis of his time. This novel is intended as a warning against the devastating calamities of modernity rather than merely a work of fiction. In this work, the issue of the Shah’s land reform could be analyzed within a special theoretical framework. Ale-Ahmad’s work contains different social concepts which could be explained in comparison with certain other related social views.
