Accompaniment of the Effective Faith with Good Deeds in Quran (with an Emphasis on Al-Mizan)

In many verses of the Holy Quran, "good deeds" which are considered as a moral virtue, have been mentioned along with "faith in God" which is the condition for the acceptance of the deeds. Considering the frequency of the combination of faith and good deeds in Quran and the quality of placing these two factors together as well as the benefits gained through such combination can lead to useful consequences. Among the some 70 verses of the Quran where faith and good deeds are put together the issues of faith and the people of book, samples of good deed and rankings of the righteous believers are among other topics addressed in the verses.The main issue of this study is to address the benefits of integrating faith and good deeds, and the importance of faith in acceptance of deeds by God. The present study is especially important since Quran regards all the people except those who perform good deeds in loss, because based on the Quranic view only the deeds which can accompany faith will be accepted by Allah and as a result the deeds without faith or the faith without deeds not only are not accepted by God but also will be faced with the punishment of this and the next world. The reference commentary used in this study is al-Mizan and the method is librarydocumentation.
