The Clothing of Iran's Kurdish Women in Safavid Travelogs up to the End of Pahlavi era

Despite their scattered and shallow references to the past cultures and traditions، travelogs include some details as to these traditions، rarely found in other sources. Therefore، travelogs could be of great help to researchers dealing with cultural features. Since clothing is considered as a cultural element by the travelog writers، the present study، briefly، examines the clothing of kurdish women mentioned in the travelogs of the Safavid period up to the end of Pahlavi era، and deals with the development، and the influential factors of these clothings from the viewpoint of travellers. In the end، the classification of clothing is examined.
