Psychological study of metaphor in the Sura Baqara

Message:
Abstract:
Metaphor is the most frequent literary style in the Quran that is applied mainly to express abstract concepts. Since this method has been used by many lexical and communication experts, this paper attempts to examine this phenomenon and looks at the ancient approach and the contemporary critics of this approach and we intend to review and critique the views of the ancients to Metaphor, and present an approach to focus on Proportion and external and Intuitive adaptation between sides of the metaphor. we believe that every word and every sentence with its lexical meaning, has emotional and affective disorder, which is beyond the capacity of a particular language structure imposed on it. Safavi calls this system as cognitive system and Osgood calls it connotative meaning, which is influenced by the attitudes and perceptions. In this paper we attempt to deal with the same approach in case studies of Surah Baqarah. With our review of this approach we found that the concepts of Sura Baqara are different due to various structures and according to the type of audiences and also the Images and words that have been selected for these images, have high emotional and affective capacities.
