The Value of Monshaat Samarghandi for studies of the Timurid era

Abstract:
Purpose
Monsha''at Samarghandi (compiled bet. 1412- 1441) is one such collection. This paper examines the work and highlights its value for studies of Timurid era. Methodology/Approach: The method used in study is descriptive – analytic and based on library resoueces.
Results
Monsha''at and Makaatib (Epistolaries) are important and reliable sources for historical studies of the period concerned. Materials included in them، e. g. decrees and letters، provide first hand understanding of political، social، economic، and administrative structures and processes of the era.
