Pathology of Greenhouse Cooperatives in Kermanshah Province

Abstract:
This study is a pathological investigation of greenhouse cooperatives suffered from disease-nature problems as well as their causes, processes, development, and consequences as an analogy to improve current situation of these cooperatives in Iran. In fact, the findings of a pathology study can be used to increase competitive ability of such businesses. Thus, this descriptive-survey study aims at investigating and identifying those diseases that bothered chief executive managers of greenhouse cooperatives in Kermanshah province of Iran. The study findings show that the cooperatives are vulnerable at a moderate level. In addition, a factor analysis reveals that the most important diseases of greenhouse cooperatives can be classified as the economic-credit, human resources, legal-political, administrative-managerial, and job subculture of the cooperatives. Increasing time intervals of loan repayment, decreasing interest rates, introducing protective agricultural tariffs with respect to energy costs, and developing extension programs are explored and found to be the best treatments for the identified diseases.
