Desirability of mobile phone technology for provision of services to users in libraries of Astan Quds

This study explores the desirability of the services which Astan Quds Razavi libraries can offer via mobile phone to users. Design/Methodology/Approach: A descriptive survey method was used with data collected by distributing a questionnaire among a sample of 384 randomly selected individuals. 325 questionnaires were returned and used. 80% of respondents supported the idea. 86% liked the proposal that the library send them SMS about new titles. An SDI service would be welcomed by 82% of them. The idea of downloading electronic files by Bluetooth was attractive to respondents.
