Investigating the Impact of Emotional Intelligence on Organizational Learning with Emphasis on the role of Cooperative Culture: a Case of Governmental Organization

Many researches on impact of emotional intelligence carried out on different variables in past decade while their focus was only on organizational learning as an important factor for adaptability to the environment, but there is a lack of research on the relationship between three variables: emotional intelligence, organizational learning and organizational culture. This research has started to investigate the mediating role of cooperative culture in the relationship between emotional intelligence and organizational learning in a governmental organization. To this end, a conceptual model designed based on library research meanwhile the quantitative approach was adopted for study. To gather data, researchers distributed a questionnaire to 120 participants whom were selected randomly in the organization and were asked to express their viewpoints about so-called variables. The gathered data were analyzed through Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) using LISREL 8.8. Results indicate that emotional intelligence has not any direct effect on organizational learning, but has indirect meaningful and positive effect through organizational culture. In addition, this research introduces a new conceptual model concerning the impact of emotional intelligence on organizational learning through cooperative culture.
