Shi a role in scientific life of Aleppo in fourth and fifth centuries

Abstract:

Aleppo in Islamic Era has bright culture and civilization. From Hamdanid and after that Mirdasid sovereignty in this zone social and cultural attendance of Shi’a became chromatic with protectoral policies of theses sovereignties and also with migrations of Shi’a scholars and poets from other Islamic countries to Aleppo. Moreover important scientific centers such as Jame’ of Aleppo, palaces, schools and famous libraries reposed to them, as reflex of the names and biography of many Shi’a scholars from Aleppo of this Era. Furthermore in Rejali books and local histories were a proof for this point. Contemporaneously literature and poetry in Aleppo also with remarkable poets such as Abu Foras Hamdani, Nashi Saqir and AbolQasem Zahi were inimitable. In this time, as Shi’a scholars’ migration to other part of Aleppo, Aleppo’s Shi’a scholars also traveled to other important cities such as Qom, Basra and Baghdad that shows connections between Shi’a circles of Aleppo with other Shi’as of other cities. This research tries to present a picture from scientific and cultural Shi’a life in the said time in Aleppo.
