A Study of the Concept of Offspring in Quran and an Analysis of Shiat jurisprudential ‎view point of relationship from mother's side

With respect to the importance of the holy Quran as the main source of religion، exegetic knowledge of Quran has always been considered a necessity for Muslims. In this regard and in order to realize the concepts and connotations of the Quran، the most important step is to find out the meaning of quranic lexicons. Defining lexicons and determining their exact uses in the revelation time and considering the reasons and motivations for the revelation provides an opportunity for a researcher to have a better understanding of different meanings related to a lexicon. This research studies the concept of zorriyah، offspring، from Quranic and hadith، narrative، point of view. After referring to lexicographers، exegetes، and narrations of the holy Imams، and after linguistic analysis of quranic lexicons such as، zorriyah، nasab، aal، itrah، etc.، it tries to answer these questions: first، according to the Quran، is zorryah defined from father’s side or it can also be defined from mother’s side? Second، how are the two lexicons nasab، relationship، and zorriyah، offspring، are related? Considering the jurisprudential verdict of dedicating khoms، one fifth of the remaining of annual income، to saadaat، i. e. the holy Prophet’s offspring، the kind of relationship، nasab or zorriyah، the title saadaat belongs to، and its examples are studied، too.
