The Relationship between Anthropology and Theology in Sofia Perennis

Message:
Abstract:
Sophia perennis, including the principles of metaphysics, anthropology, ethics and theology, has been placed in the hearth of all traditions. All ways to attain the pure essence of God begins from knowing one`s own self as is understood in the hadith: “One who comes to know himself will know his Lord”. On this issue there may be found two important disagreements between Schuon, and Nasr as his commentator. The disagreements include: a) Nasr emphasizes that one who know himself, will know his Lord. But Schuon, noticing the difference between relative command and absolute command and on the basis of theology, places human in the second degree of importance, while God was know on the basis of dignity and visible original existence sphere including human (God manifestation paramount).with all of explanations, between Nasr and Schuon is drastic and perhaps cannot easily be solved. b) In”Velayat” issue, Schuon did not basically believe what Nasr believes but he believes to the revelation of sanctification individuals (in addition to prophets).
