The integration of data mining and knowledge management to improve Iran police performance (case study of 197 public surveillance center)

with increase of information technology growth and communication at society level and also the growth of technologies related to data, information and knowledge, today many organizations have realized the significance of knowledge and its acquisition, production, storage and transmission to create competitive advantage. Knowledge management is one of the fields of research related to simplification and improvement of the process of sharing, distribution, acquisition and understanding the knowledge. Different tools are used to apply knowledge management in organization, which data mining is one of them. Data mining is one of the efficient tools in analysis and research of huge data and used in different applied domains.one of the application of this method is in 197 public surveillance center which is one of the subset of Iran police which has been the center of attention. This center is stablished to extend public surveillance over police performance and increase their participation in different sections of this organization. Data base of this center has the information of people calls with this center which can be used as a suitable and significant center to improve police performance. In this article by integration of data mining and knowledge management in 197 public surveillance center, a comprehensive model for improvement of police performance and also an effective tool to increase people satisfaction is introduced.
