Religious knowledge and its impact on the freedom Concept in thought of Imam Khomeini

After the Islamic Revolution in Iran، political Islam to enter the realm of practical politics، face with new issues and concepts interpreted by some other political discourses. Freedom one of the most important concepts in the discourse of conflict، it carried a different meaning. The Imam Khomeini as intellectual scholar of this discourse، in these conditions، with emphasis on jurisprudents method، trying to define and delineate the limits of freedom. In this paper، the assumption will be tested: that imam Khomeini''s religious epistemology، The concept of freedom and its framework، has been fixed in his thought’’. In this paper، using Quentin Skinner methodology، we analyzed the expression of political and religious views of Imam Khomeini، the interpretation of the concept of freedom of religion and its impact on his political views. Imam relying on religious knowledge defines the concept of freedom as «positive freedom». He defines the concept of freedom as «divine and natural right» that helps the true happiness of human.
