Exploring the Role of Emerging Mysticisms on Moral Security

Nowadays, Emerging Mysticisms (EMs) as a real manifestation for soft war along with other social harms are considered as emerging sources of insecurity among people. Since moral security considers those threats that target individual and community values and EMs may conduct the field of committing such threats (emphasizing the focus of policing and intelligence experts as well as high-rank officials), this research aims to identify and explain the role of Ems. To do this, the research follows a descriptive-analytic and survey method. The population includes all experts, managers, and officials from police, intelligence agencies, and the judicature system in Tehran with 99 participants selected through simple random sampling. The data collected through the questionnaire. Findings of the study showed that EMs had a negative impact on moral security in Tehran. It also indicated that EMs undermined the cultural and religious values of the society specifically among the youngsters through encourage and promoting sectarian teachings.
