Content Validity of Persian version of Children's Communication Checklist for Iranian four to six Year-Old Children

Aim
pragmatic is proper use of language in context. In assessing this skill, direct tools for assessing the child's language ability is wanted. Therefore, Bishop developed a child’s communication checklist completed by people observing child’s communication behavior in the context. Since the preparation of this checklist is an elementary effort of removing the need for systematic assessment in the case of social communication, this paper was done to prepare the context- validity of the Persian version of four to six year old children communication checklist.Methods
this study is non-experimental and tooling. For determining the context- validity of four to six year children communication checklist, the checklist of Kazemi et.al for five to eleven years old children done in Esfahan, the validity and reliability were obtained, was used. The context of the context validity questionnaire was sent to 10 speech pathologist and speech therapist to express their opinion about each item of this questionnaire; then, the context validity index for this checklist was calculated based on Lawshe.Results
the value of the context validity index (CVI) was %94 and items with at least %80 was accepted which based on this amount, the context validity index was very good for this research. And subsets of social interaction and interest in comparison with other indexes had higher index and only one item of speech subset was removed from the checklist.Conclusion
Due to higher scores of subsets, based on the CVR, they all qualified enough for validity studies. So, the Persian version of this child communication checklist has enough validity to be used in researches.Keywords:
