Collaborative information seeking: concepts, measures, systems

First, search for information; it was considered an individual activity, but studies show that people seeking to work together during the information search activities. The purpose of this paper is to introduce and explain issues related to collaborative information seeking. This paper describes an overview of information seeking and collaboration, information seeking collaborative, dimensions and systems is discussed. This study shows that there is no single definition of collaborative information seeking between researchers. Dimensions of collaboration include Explicit vs. implicit, Depth of mediation, Synchronous vs. asynchronous, Co-located vs. distributed. The result of studies on collaborative information seeking to create systems that support this process. collaborative Information seeking to study the motives, methods, and systems which enable individuals to collaborate in the information seeking process.
