Cultural Status of Bushehr Armenians in Qajarid Era Based on Archival Documents

To study Bushehr Armenians’ cultural status and their role in cultural development of the city in the Qajarid era. Study and analysis of library resources and documents of that era. In the Qajarid era, Bushehr Armenians were residing in special districts and were engaged in trade or business. Most of them were fluent in different languages, while retaining their mother tongue. Also, there were no significant distinctions regarding their costumes compared to other residents. Armenians also played an active role in Bushehr cultural development. Their activities were not limited to Bushehr, but they also had a significant role in improving knowledge in other harbors of the Persian Gulf by taking part in establishing educational and publishing centers.
