Analytical on tourism role in economic growth of border areas (case study: Golestan province)

Nowadays tourism industry has wide economic effects, for example: occupation increment, deduction of unemployment, increasing people life level, improving infrastructure are the most important positive economic effects of tourism. Golestan border areas by having natural landscapes, historic memorials, cultural attractions in the field of tourism attraction has so many abilities. Therefore tourism regarding diversifications to local economy creating new income resource, crafts expansion and local market can follow causes for economic progress in border areas.

This survey due to the goal type is practical; and base on nature is descriptive-analytical. Statistical society which has used in this research are college professors, governmental and private institution experts whom are active in tourism, tourist and local managers .Sample volume estimated based on Cochran sampling formula was 274 person. Choosing the sample was based on targeted sampling methods and evaluation tools was questionnaire accompany with an interview and for validity and evaluation of the test has been used of cronbach’s alphay factor .For data analyzing has used of spss software and for proving assumptions has been used of chi-square and one sample t test.

The result of this survey shows that tourism has positive effect regarding creation new careers opportunities, crafts expansion , raising residence income, life quality enhancement, decreasing in unemployment rate and spreading local market.
