Comparison of intravenous lidocaine and intracuff lidocaine or saline on post extubation cough in lumbar laminectomy surgery

Introduction
Cough is a common problems after post extubation in general anesthesia. In this study we evaluated to effect of intracuff and intra venous lidocaine in cough and mean arterial pressure and heart rate after extubation in urmia emam hospital.Materials And Methods
Patients with ASA physical status I, II were enrolled 20 to 60 years old and scheduled for elective surgery under general anesthesia Mean Heart rate and mean arterial pressure, SPO2 and Coughs in three time 0, 10 and 30 minutes after extubation were ducumented.Results
There was no statistically significant difference in prevalence of cough in three groups of 0 minutes after extubation, 10 minutes after extubation and 30 minutes after extubation (p=0.190). There were no differences in mean HR or MAP and O2sat in 0, 10 and 30 minutes after extuation.Discussion
We were not found difference in cough prevalence comparing to other groups (intra cuff saline and IV lidocaine) in different times after extubation. Keywords:
